How the Target Touch Counter Works

The Target Touch Counter counts up toward a goal you set and shows progress as a percentage and a progress bar. The tool marks the goal with a sound and confetti the moment the total reaches the target.

  1. Set a target: Enter the goal number, such as 500 taps or 10,000 steps.
  2. Tap to count: Each tap raises the total and moves the progress bar forward.
  3. Track progress: Read the percentage done and the number left at a glance.
  4. Hit the goal: A goal alert fires at 100%. Counting continues past the target for overtime totals.

Target Touch Counter Formula

The Target Touch Counter progress equals the current total divided by the target, multiplied by 100.

Progress (%) = (Total ÷ Target) × 100

Example: A goal of 250 taps with a total of 180 gives (180 ÷ 250) × 100 = 72% progress.

About the Target Touch Counter

A Target Touch Counter is a goal-based tally that measures progress toward a fixed number. The counter pairs a running total with a target, a progress bar and a completion alert.

Goal tracking turns an open count into a finish line. Studies on goal setting show that specific, numeric goals lead to higher output than vague goals, and a visible progress bar makes the goal concrete.

Ways to Use the Target Touch Counter

The Target Touch Counter has 5 main uses, including daily rep goals and production quotas.

  • Daily rep goals: Set 100 push-ups and watch progress through the day.
  • Production quotas: Track units made against a shift target of 400.
  • Reading goals: Count pages toward a 50-page daily target.
  • Fundraising tallies: Count donors toward a target of 200 sign-ups.
  • Practice targets: Musicians log 30 clean run-throughs of a passage.
