About TouchCounter & Our Mission

Why TouchCounter was engineered: providing the fastest, most precise, multi-touch capable tally instrument for web and mobile devices.

Built for Speed, Tactile Feedback & Multi-Finger Precision

TouchCounter helps you count with a phone, mouse or keyboard. Tap the large pad to add to your total. Use more than one finger if your screen supports it. The live chart shows how fast you tap.

Core Engineering Principles

Sub-Millisecond Zero Delay

The counter reads each touch as it starts. You can count with taps, mouse clicks or the Space key.

True Multi-Touch Telemetry

Each finger gets its own mark on the screen. You can see where you touch and how many fingers are down.

Web Audio Synthesis

Your device makes each click sound as you count. There is no sound file to wait for or download.

Real-Time Velocity Waveforms

The chart shows clicks per second, or CPS. You can also check your beat rate and the time between taps.

Common Applications & Use Cases

  • Event & People Counting: Door management, venue attendee tracking, and capacity monitoring with single or multi-step additions.
  • Fitness & Repetition Tracking: Sets, reps, interval rounds, and breath counts with hands-free big targets and auditory signals.
  • Gaming & CPS Speed Testing: Practice jitter-clicking, butterfly clicking, and multi-finger tapping speeds with millisecond velocity readouts.
  • Inventory & Production Audits: Fast, distraction-free unit counting with one-click CSV session export for reporting.
  • Habit & Meditation Rhythms: Mantras, tasbih, mindfulness breath counts with soothing synthesized feedback and ambient glowing aesthetics.

Who Runs TouchCounter

Fahad Shoaib founded and owns TouchCounter. Our small team builds and maintains the site. The same team reads each note sent through the contact page. We have no investors, ads or data brokers. Our aim is a free touch counter that is quick and easy to use.

Why You Can Trust the Numbers

  • Measured, not estimated: every tap is timestamped with the browser's high-resolution clock (performance.now()), and CPS is calculated from the taps registered in the last second.
  • Built on web standards: input is read through the browser's native Pointer Events API, the same standard Android, iOS, Windows and macOS browsers use for touchscreens, pens, trackpads and mice.
  • Transparent limits: timing accuracy ultimately depends on your device's touch sampling rate and display refresh rate, as explained in our Terms & Conditions.
  • Open to feedback: feature requests and bug reports help decide what we build next — tell us what you need on the contact page.

Privacy & Independence

Your browser counts each tap and works out the speed on your device. We do not send your count logs to a server. You can learn more in our Privacy Policy.
