How the Shared Team Counter Works
The Shared Team Counter combines entries from several authorized participants into one live total, with each person's contribution shown separately. Participants join with a team code.
- Create the team counter: Name the counter and generate a team code.
- Invite participants: Share the code. Only people with the code can add counts.
- Count on each device: Each person taps on their own phone, and the shared total updates.
- See contributions: The breakdown shows each participant's count and share.
Shared Team Counter Formula
The Shared Team Counter team total equals the sum of every participant's count. Each participant's share equals their count divided by the team total.
- Count(p)
- Taps made by participant p
- Team total
- Sum across all participants
Example: Three volunteers count 145, 120 and 95 people. Team total = 360. The first volunteer's share = 40.3%.

About the Shared Team Counter
A Shared Team Counter is a collaborative tally where several people add to one total from their own devices. The tool removes the end-of-day step of adding up clipboards.
Access control matters for shared counts. A team code limits who can add entries, and a per-person breakdown shows who counted what, which helps check unusual totals.
Ways to Use the Shared Team Counter
There are 5 main uses of the Shared Team Counter, including group fundraising and volunteer surveys.
- Group fundraising: Teams count sign-ups toward a shared target.
- Volunteer surveys: Several counters cover one event site.
- Community challenges: Groups count push-ups or prayers toward a shared goal.
- Litter picks: Volunteers count bags collected.
- Sales teams: Staff count calls or meetings toward a team goal.
