How the Counter Report Generator Works

Choose the counts and dates you want to report. Add the totals, time span and notes so the reader can see what was counted and how.

  1. Select the sessions: Choose 1 or more sessions or a date range.
  2. Pick report sections: Include summary, category breakdown, hourly pattern and notes.
  3. Add context: Enter the location, counter names and weather or event notes.
  4. Export the report: Download as PDF or print it.

Counter Report Generator Formula

Add the counts to get a total. Divide the total by the time to get a rate. Use the same time unit for each result.

Average rate = Total ÷ Duration | Peak share (%) = Peak period count ÷ Total × 100

Example: A 6-hour session counts 1,440 visitors, with 390 in the busiest hour. Average rate = 240 per hour. Peak share = 27.1%.
