How the Daily Touch Counter Works

The Daily Touch Counter files every count under the current calendar date and starts a fresh total at midnight in your time zone. Past days stay saved, so you see a day-by-day history.

  1. Count during the day: Every tap adds to today's total.
  2. Roll over at midnight: At 00:00 local time, a new day starts at 0.
  3. Browse past days: Open the calendar or list to see each day's total.
  4. Read weekly and monthly sums: The tool adds daily totals into 7-day and 30-day figures.

Daily Touch Counter Formula

The Daily Touch Counter daily average equals the sum of daily totals divided by the number of days.

Daily average = Σ Day totals ÷ Days | 7-day total = Σ last 7 day totals

Example: A week of totals 12, 15, 9, 14, 18, 11 and 13 gives a 7-day total of 92 and a daily average of 92 ÷ 7 = 13.1.

About the Daily Touch Counter

A Daily Touch Counter is a date-based tally that saves a separate total for each calendar day. The counter turns a single number into a daily log.

Daily logs show trends that a single total hides, such as weekday peaks or a slow week. Habit trackers, shop footfall logs and step counters all use the same daily structure.

Ways to Use the Daily Touch Counter

The Daily Touch Counter has 5 main uses, including habit logs and daily footfall.

  • Habit logs: Users count daily glasses of water, cigarettes or study sessions.
  • Daily footfall: Shops log visitors per day to plan staff.
  • Symptom tracking: Users count daily headaches or coughs to share with a doctor.
  • Sales calls: Sales staff count calls made each day.
  • Prayer counts: Users keep a daily count of recitations.
